Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
Drive to Tarangire for game viewing among baobabs, elephants and birdlife.

Day 2: Lake Manyara
Explore the groundwater forest and lakeshore of Lake Manyara below the Rift Valley escarpment.

Day 3: To the Serengeti
Cross the Ngorongoro highlands to the Serengeti, with a game drive on the way to camp.

Day 4: Following the migration
A full day with the herds — the exact area depends on the season.

Day 5: Serengeti exploration
Another full day for big cats, river life and the wide-open plains. An optional balloon flight may be possible.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Final morning in the Serengeti, then drive to the crater rim for the night.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater and return
Early descent into the crater, then return to Arusha in the afternoon.
